About the role:
Mercor is hiring experienced musicians to evaluate generative AI music models for a leading AI lab. You’ll listen to AI-generated samples and rate them on musicality, creativity, and production quality—all in Telugu and English. No coding required, just your ears and expertise.
What you will do:
- Evaluate AI model outputs for lyrics, voice generation, and other quality standards
- Rate AI-generated music samples on musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production/mix quality
- Annotate songs in detail: genre/sub-genre classification, song structure, and vocal/instrumental characteristics
- Score the quality of musical training data
What you need:
- 3+ years of experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or sound mixer
- Native or near-native proficiency in both Telugu and English
- Past experience writing lyrical music in Telugu
- Ability to understand directions in English
- Evidence of understanding musical performance, theory, and lyrics
Preferred (not required):
- College degree in music (involving performance, theory, and lyrics)
- Familiarity with audio-engineering terminology
