About the role:
Mercor is hiring experienced musicians to evaluate generative musical AI models in partnership with a leading AI lab. You will assess model outputs across different categories of music in Tamil.
Key responsibilities:
- Evaluate AI model output lyrics, voice generation, and other standards
- Score quality of musical training data
- Rate AI-generated music samples on musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production/mix quality using audio-engineering terminology
- Annotate songs in detail: genre/sub-genre classification, song structure, vocal/instrumental characteristics via a structured taxonomy
Ideal qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or sound mixer
- Evidence of understanding musical performance, theory, and lyrics
- College degree in music, involving performance, theory, and lyrics
- Past experience writing lyrical music in Tamil
- Native or near-native proficiency in both Tamil and English
