About the role:
Mercor is looking for experienced mechanical engineers to review and validate technical content for AI training. You will evaluate problems, solutions, and explanations across core engineering domains. This is for engineers who love getting the details right.
What you will do:
- Review mechanical engineering problems and solutions for accuracy
- Spot errors, ambiguities, and gaps in reasoning
- Provide clear, well-justified written feedback
- Apply consistent evaluation standards across subdomains
- Calibrate your judgments to maintain high quality benchmarks
Subdomains you will cover:
- Statics and Dynamics
- Thermodynamics
- Fluid Mechanics
- Heat Transfer
- Mechanics of Materials
- Machine Design
What you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field (required)
- Strong command of core mechanical engineering fundamentals
- Sharp attention to detail – ability to spot subtle errors
- Clear written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with structured criteria
Nice to have (but not required):
- Master’s or PhD degree
- Experience in technical review, grading, tutoring, or QA
Important notes:
